A Superb French four glass , regulator clock, striking the hours and the half hours on a Bell, white enamel dial with Roman numerals and with the center of the dial showing the jewelled 'deadbeat' escapement , bevelled glass all round and a Large sealed mercury compensating pendulum. A fine French 8 day movement and polished blue steel Breguet Hands.The movement is stamped Leroy et Fil a Paris and Numbered 12843 . Charles Le Roy was the Master Clockmaker to Napolean & along with his son Charles-Louis were clockmaker’s to the Princess Pauline and the Duke de Bourbon. Examples of their work are in all the major collections as well in the Ministere de la Guerre, Paris. The Maison de Le Roy was founded in 1785 at Palais Royal & continued until the death of Charles at Versailles in 1865. , Standing 29cms Tall .

Standing 24cms small ! (with Handle raised) . Circa 1860

A Silk suspension , Ormalu mantel clock of 8 day duration , striking hourly and half hourly on a fine Bell with cartouche dial showing Roman numerals in Blue and fret cut blued Hands , The case has a small figure below the dial listening to the chime of the clock ( see close up images ), made by Charles A Aubert & Co and also stamped with the well known London retailer 'Stopp' .Max Hermann Stopp was in business from around 1851 and the movement is numbered 1761 .

A French mantel clock on a Marble base which has Ormalu decorations , the clock is of 8 day duration , striking hourly and half hourly on a bell with a white convex enamel dial showing arabic Numerals and finely pierced Gilded Brass Hands , and a cast brass bezel surround which is part of the Drum which the Cherub is playing . The case has a wonderful Bronzed Cherub figure holding up the clock with one hand and his Drum stick in the other, made in Paris around 1890
