A Victorian Piano front DavenportA Superb example of the Rare , Piano front , Burr Walnut , Harlequin Davenport. This example has four dummy drawer fronts to the left side and four full sized mahogany lined to the right side, scroll supports in carved walnut, a highly figured piano top and pannelled front, Brass casters are hidden under walnut Pad feet. The rising stationary compartment is released with a hidden button inside the right-hand small drawer above the leather writing slope and once raised reveals a set of Three secret walnut fronted drawers and small letter compartments to both sides . circa 1870
