A charming French mantel clock in the rarer style which is decorated with ormolu mounts and having an enamel dial showing Roman and Arabic numerals with garlands of flowers and the retailers. A fine 8 day duration movement with striking on a mellow gong for the hours and once for the half hours . Made in the Paris workshops by Charles Vincenti for Payne & Co of New Bond Street, London circa 1890 and bears the stamp on the backplate of the movement.
