An early , important carriage clock in an engraved gorge case with bell strike and push repeat , with an enamelled dial showing Roman numerals , blued steel breguet hands and an attractive engraved shaped handle . Stamped and numbered lever platform escapement by J.Soldano . Pons was an early carraige clock producer and was largely responsible for the improvement of fine quality carriage clock production . He was awarded the - Legion d'Honneur for his services to French Horology and won the Gold medal at the Paris exhibition in 1834 . This clock has the round stamp of Pons with Medaille d'Or 1827 . This clock has the round stamp of Pons with Medaille d'Or 1827 . This carriage clock has a 'light' Bell strike on the hour with one for the half hours . Circa 1840-50 .
