Le Roy No3984~ quarter striking .

An extremely rare and early quarter striking carriage clock with alarm by Le Roy et Fils who were the clockmakers to King Louis Philippe I of France ( or the Horolgers du Roi ) with the outer protective leather case . The clock is in very original condition and is still retaining the original mono metallic gilded lever escapement with 12 jewels . Bell striking on the hour and two bells for the quarters . The unusual movement has been photographed throughout the restoration and these can be supplied with the clock . The engraved and gilded 'one piece' case has a shuttered rear panel which has been skillfully engraved sold with a full 12 month guarantee . The dial showing Roman numerals and signed Leroy Horologer du Roi with the blued steel 'Trefoil' hands and with push repeat button , Circa 1840 .
