Boyce Gorge Canalee

A fine , polished , full size , push repeat Carriage clock in a Canalee / gorge case . The movement is completely original with a fine Jewelled , silvered Lever platform escapement . Boyce- written under the glaze on the rear of the dial .A Joseph Alfred Boyce was recorded working in London circa 1880 , this clock probably dates to the late 1880's . Push repeat hour strike on a Gong and once for the half hours . The case has thick bevelled perfect glass to all sides and an oval bevelled top glass to view the platform escapement .
