A fine early Georgian style basket top mantel clock with a black lacquered piano finish cabinet and hand painted gold leaf Chinoiserie artwork, unique and signed by the artist, circa 1705. This superb timepiece has a polished triple chime 8 day movement which plays Westminster, Whittington, and St. Michael melodies, along with 9 jewel platform and chime silencer, as well as automatic night silencer (10.00 PM - 7.15 AM) and chime sequence correction. Complete with solid brass dial and cherub spandrels, silver finish chapter ring, fine milled hands, bevelled glass and lacquered solid brass furniture.
