An early 12" Dial clock with a 'drop' in a figured rosewood , Square shaped 4 pillar fusee movement of 8 day duration , The Dial is signed Aldred & Son Yarmouth , who are recorded working from 1830 - 75 , and this clock would possibly date at 1850 . It has the original Hands . A very narrow wooden surround and a cast brass Bezel with old glass . This is a good example of a Drop Dial wall clock and has the Lentcel to see the pendulum bob swing , Viewing recommended but click to see close up pictures .
