A Fine Ships Chronometer by Sharman D. Neill , Donegal Place , Belfast and numbered 12958 which is also on the Box plaque and dial , Housed in a Double lid Mahogany , brass bound case in very original condition with lock and Key , The maintaining power , fusee movement with spring detent balance escapement is protected by a sprung dust cover to wind . the Neill family was working in Belfast from 1845 although this chronometer is approx' 100 years old .
