A fine quality small 'skeleton' mantel clock under a glass dome . The Y shaped movement plates engraved with flowers and scrolls in polished brass .The 8 day timepiece movement on a silk suspension . Key wound once a week . The white enamelled dial showing Roman numerals and the ebonised base with brass line inlays . Stamped to the base plate with Ms Honorables , Exp Paris & Londres . Clocks like this were exhibited and sold at the Great Exhibition of 1851 and proved very popular . They were also sold at the Paris exposition of 1867 & 1878 . Sold with a full 12 month guarantee .
