Boulle Clock, Paris
34 x 18 x 11cm
A fine French 'Boulle' mantel clock , striking hourly and half hourly on a coiled gong. The gilt dial with 12 vitreous enamelled number cartouches showing Roman numerals, polished blued steel hands and a cast brass decorative bezel surround. The case is typical of Boulle work, after Andre-Charles Boulle and has a good level of detail, it is worth noting this is the model with 'Boulle' decoration on the sides too. Standing on 'C' scroll bracket feet and a fine cast gilded finial to the top . Made in Paris around 1880 stamped H & F and numbered. It is worth noting that all our clocks have had a full dismantle / overhaul unlike many others for sale online and carry a full 12 month Guarantee in writing , which adds to the value and longevity of this fine clock .
