Longcase Clocks

R. Edwards of Southampton

A fine, silvered dial, 8 day longcase clock of small proportions in a polished mahogany case. The dial is one of the best we have seen, the hand engraving of cherubs and roman numerals with the makers name and Tempus Fugit to the arch (translates to 'time flies' in Latin). Edwards of Southampton is recorded working in 1795 and this clock is typical of this date. Sold with a full 24 month guarantee and delivered within a 100 mile radius of this shop.
