Longcase Clocks

Haviland of Cirencester 1820

 

A Quarter sawn Oak longcase with Mahogany cross-banding and Boxwood edging with quarter fluted columns and brass capitals to the trunk and a panelled base with bracket feet , the Hood with Mahogany cross-banding , brass paterea decorate the swan necks . A 12 inch Painted dial showing Roman Numerals for the Chapter ring with Seconds and Calendar aperture with the addition of Moon phase to the Arch ,the 8 day duration weight driven movement with cast lead weights and cast pendulum bob . Richard Haviland of Cirencester is recorded working at 1820. A well proportioned clock .
