Tea Table

87cm x 75cm x 43cm

An unusual Tea table in an exotic wood similar to mahogany but slightly tighter grained, a wood called Bubinga. The wood is extremely popular with furniture makers and has been for over a century. The Bubinga tree is from the African continant and grows to over 100ft tall and can have a trunk 8ft in diameter! The logs which made this piece must have arrived back in the UK sometime in the 1840's as this piece dates to around that period.
