A Victorian Piano front Davenport
An exceptional Piano front, Burr Walnut, Harlequin Davenport. This example has four dummy drawer fronts to the left side and four full sized mahogany lined to the right side, scroll supports in carved walnut, an inlaid piano top and pannelled front, Brass casters are hidden under walnut Pad feet. The rising stationary compartment is released with a hidden button inside the righthand small drawer above the leather writing slope and once raised folds back 180* to reveal a decorative fret. circa 1860
