A fine gilt gorge case , Petite Sonnerie Carriage clock in very original condition with a large top glass to view the original Bi-metallic balance wheel , jewelled 'fish tail' lever escapement . Gong striking on the Hour and as with Petite Sonnerie you also have the quarter , half and three-quarter strike on two gongs . The movement is completely original and is Stamped on the inside of the backplate with Henri Jacot's oval makers mark , Roblin of Paris has also stamped the clock and would have sold it to William Johnson of 54 Threadneedle Street , Royal Exchange London circa 1880. This fine Carriage clock of superb quality has bevelled glass , all of which are in perfect condition
