Henri Jacot , Paris

A fine Carriage clock by perhaps the finest of all the carriage clock makers Henri Jacot , working in Paris from 1855 to 1900 . This is a very well preserved example . The clock is number stamped - 17761 and also stamped with the Henri Jacot Logo - H.and J with the Parrot (Jacot) motif on the back plate . The large top bevelled glass shows the Silvered , Jewelled lever platform escapement . A fine 8 day movement  which has been fully serviced , hand polished and set up . The case is classic ' Jacot' Gorge style with matt gilding of good size all glass has been removed and polished inside and out . Would recommend viewing , Standing 14cms with the handle down .
