Large Grand Sonnerie
A Large gilded , pinched corner , gorge case , Grande Sonnerie Carriage clock in very original condition with a large top glass to view the original Bi-metallic , split , jewelled lever escapement . Gong striking on the Hour and with Grande Sonnerie you also have the quarter , half and three-quarter strike on two gongs ' ting- tang ' following the hour strike . If you prefer you can choose petite sonnerie or silent by simply switching a small lever to the base . The movement has been fully dismantled , serviced , polished and regulated . It has bevelled glass , all of which are in superb condition . Circa 1875 . Unsigned but most probably the work of Drocourt . Click to see the clock in detail .
