F.L.Hausburg Carriage Clock
16.5 x 10 x 8cm
An early carriage clock by F.L.Hausburg of Paris who was working in the mid 19th Century. This example with the original, early lever platform and striking on a bell. The back plate with the name engraved in script along the base . The large top bevelled glass below the very ornate handle shows the original escapement and also has the push repeat button through the top glass. A fine 8 day movement which is now fully serviced and overhauled. The case is a 'one piece' design with superb hand engraving and gilding of good colour, all bevelled white glass polished inside and out .
