17 x 10 x 8cm
A fine and early carriage clock . The case is constructed as ' multi-piece' case with solid rear door and early handle design . The original and unusual jeweled lever , platform escapement is superb and untouched . The clock is 'countwheel' striking on a bell and can be left silent (if you do not wind the strike side) . The silvered dial showing Roman numerals and true Breguet hands . The bevelled glass to all sides are perfect . The clock is stamped Dixon et Fils and the plates are stamped with a small stamp for Raingo Freres established in 1813 . we would date this clock to around 1820-30. This is a very original , rare and early carriage clock that would appeal to the collector or investor .
Note - currently shown with movement unrestored .
