A very fine Pendule d'Officier . The convex enamelled dial showing black Arabic numerals with minutes to the outer edge and gilt quarter markers , decorated with finely chased , pierced and gilded hands , signed to the dial Buzot a Paris who is recorded in G.H.Baillie's - Watch and Clockmakers of the World. The case having floral and ribbon gilt mounts in the classic 'Pagoda' shape . The drop handle with a Serpent consuming itself - an ancient symbol of eternal unity. Standing on four turned feet . Circa 1890.
