Carriage Clocks

Bourdin, 28 Rue De La Paix

170mm x 90mm x 80mm

A fine carriage clock by Bourdin. This clock is the rare sub seconds with calendar dials and alarm. It also retains the original outer protective travel case which is quite unusual as it has a lock and two latches. The dial is signed by Bourdin and the Medaille 1st Classe Exposition, Universalle of 1855 The movement has been fully dismantled and overhauled/serviced, as has the case and we have polished the glass inside and out. The case is the usual high quality construction of Bourdin and we have several photos of the case in pieces if you are interested. This clock strikes the hours on a bell and one blow of the bell for the half hour. If you are looking for a very good and rare carriage clock by a very well respected maker, this Bourdin dating to around 1870 is superb!
