A fine , Verge escapement , twin fusee , bell striking , Pad Top , 8 Day Bracket clock with a finely engraved backplate and verge apron . This is not a converted Verge , this is the original escapement and is a rare find ! The case is in wonderful condition and has highly figured Mahogany veneers with depth of colour and good patination . The full brass dial showing an engraved and silvered center with the makers name - John Leumas , London , four gilded corner spandrels and the strike - silent dial with two gilded spandrels either side and the fine original , blued steel hands . A carrying handle to the top and silk backed , polished brass , fish scale frets to both sides with a Pull Repeat cord and turned brass pull to the right . Please see the more detailed photos .
