D.Cattelli of Hereford , circa 1840
A mahogany wheel Barometer with an 8" silvered barometer dial finely engraved , encased in a cast bezel and covered with a convex glass, a silvered Thermometer scale with red alcohol tube. The makers name D.Cattelli of Hereford who is recorded in the Barometer Makers book by Edwin Banfield at 1815-45. Below the barometer dial is the ivorine knob for positioning the brass hand and at the bottom is a spirit level engraved with the makers name.
