Thos Gaskell

An early Tavern style wall clock with an 18" painted (light Duck egg blue ) Dial in a substantial Chisel base mahogany case . shaped 4 pillar movement of 7 day duration . The dial is signed Tho's Gaskell of Knutsford and dating to around 1800 , Thos Gaskell is recorded working from 1784 - 1828 . A very narrow wooden surround and substantial Brass bezel with lock and glass . The size of this clock is not readily appreciated on the web and we would recommend viewing .
