Wall Clocks

Camerer Cuss , London

A very small Walnut cased wall clock with carved 'C' scrolls and leaves below the 10"dial . The movement is twin fusee with original chains and has cast square plates, click through the images to see the movement in detail and 'sparkling' clean. . The clock strikes the hour on a very mellow gong and has one blow of the gong for the half hour ,   with the original steel hands and runs for 8 days . The enamelled dial is signed by the makers and retailers Camerer Cuss and Co , 56 New Oxford Street , London Circa 1890 .The case has two side doors with sound frets held with a latch . A clock like this does have to be viewed to appreciate the size , more often these are found with 12" and 14" dials , a 10" one like this is now extremely rare and this is the only example we have seen in 15 years !
