A traditional 'Station' or 'office' clock which was once hanging in Somerset House, London. This clock was removed when they modernised the interior with electric clocks! Somerset House was occupied  by the Government in 1940 by the Inland Revenue. The movement is single fusee on chain and has square plates with the original steel hands and runs for 8 days . The enamelled dial is signed / stamped with the Royal Crest of Edward the 6th . This clock dates to around 1940. It has 1 side door and a convex bottom door held with a lock and Key. Sold fully overhauled and with a 12 month Guarantee in writing . The case is polished mahogany of good colour .
