A fine and well proportioned Scottish longcase in very highly figured flame mahogany with unusual high quality deadbeat escapement. This exceptional longcase has the addition of rosewood panels and brass inlays. John Hardy of Aberdeen was recorded working at 17 Huxter Row in 1837. This is printed in John Smith's book of 'Old Scottish Clockmakers' 1453-1850. The dial is the original engraved and silvered with seconds, calendar and fine blued steel hands. This clock really does need to be viewed in our shop to fully appreciate it. 24 month Guarantee.
