A fine flame mahogany Scottish longcase clock of 8 day duration, 'Broken arch' shape hood with Boxwood detailing either side of the dial 12" silvered dial , featuring a calendar and seconds dial within the Roman numeral chapter ring, the Clock movement is exceptional quality , being a 'Deadbeat' escapement with wooden pendulum rod and Bell striking on the hour and will run for a week on a wind. James Lunan of Aberdeen is not listed in 'Old Scottish Clockmakers 1453-1850' by John Smith , however Charles Lunan is , we have researched a little and have reached the opinion that James could be his son.
