A Flame Mahogany Longcase of good proportions , The clock runs for 7 days , with bell strike on the Hour . A short trunk door with simple string inlay and inlay panel above , with 'swan neck' pediment to the hood . A Painted , enamelled dial with Roman numerals showing seconds and calendar with the original Brass hands . Thomas Barnes of Gainsboro was recorded working from 1828-35 and is listed in The Book of Watch and clockmakers of the World by Loomes ,Vol 2 .
