Soldano , Strike - Push Repeat .
A fine gilt carriage clock in a solid cast 'gorge' style case with gong strike and push repeat , the masked enamelled dial showing Roman numerals and blued steel hands . Stamped and numbered Soldano . Joseph Soldano was an early carraige clock producer and was largely responsible for the improvement of fine quality carriage clock production . He was awarded the - Legion d'Honneur for his services to French Horology and won the Gold medal at the Paris exhibition in 1834 . This clock has a gong strike for the hour and half hour with push repeat on demand .Circa 1870 .
