Hamilton & Co , Carriage clock
A fine carriage clock with a one piece engraved case in very original condition . This clock signed by Hamilton & Co who were working in the 1860's in Drogheda (26 miles north of Dublin) Ireland . Hamilton & Co were the retailers of Carriage clocks , Mantel clocks and Pocket watches . This clock would have been made for them by one of the best Carriage clock makers in Paris . It has a large bevelled top glass to view the fine Original Bi-Metallic balance , lever escapement . The original pair of blued Breguet hands , full enamelled dial and bevelled glass to all sides , striking on the hour on a bell and once on the half hour , viewing highly recommended.
