Francois A Margaine
A Very fine example of a Gorge cased , Push repeat Carriage Clock by this Famous Carriage Clock maker F.A.Margaine and Stamped with his Logo - a Beehive - and Number , Francois had workshops in Paris , Rue Beranger 22 and Rue Bondy 54 , He was awarded a Silver Medal at the Paris Exhibition in 1889 and awarded a Gold Medal in 1900 . This Clock with its Original True Split Bi-Metalic Balance is in exceptional condition and Strikes the Hours and Half Hours on a Mellow Coiled Gong . The case has a Drocourt style Handle and Large Bevelled Top Glass to see the escapement .
