An early and rare 'Sheraton' wheel Barometer in Mahogany with chequer rope edgeline , long engraved and silvered Thermometer scale , Concave bezel , finely engraved Barometer dial (please see close up photos for full dial detail) signed - J.M.Ronkette , 180 Holborn , London . The name 'Ronkette' has also been spelt 'Ronketti' , John Merry Ronketti was a celebrated Barometer maker and is listed in Edwin Banfield's books as working from this address in Holborn at 1787-97 , a fine Barometer circa 1795 .
